Ice Cream, Ice Cream! As part of the Hands-On Heritage House’s fun interactive hallway cupboard exhibit of ol’ time kitchen gadgets, including ice cream freezers, we asked visitors to participate in an unofficial ”What’s Your Favorite Flavor of Ice Cream” Survey.

Hand powered Ice Cream Freezer   With a total of 155 votes, the results are....

  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough came in first place with 45 votes
  • Chocolate flavor was 2nd place with 28 votes
  • 3rd place - Vanilla flavor with 19 votes
  • 4th place - Strawberry and Sherbet Ice Cream tied with 13 votes each
  • Peach Ice Cream with 10 votes came in 5th
  • And... poor ol’ Neapolitan Ice Cream (remember, it has three layers of tasty strawberry, chocolate & vanilla?) came in last with only 3 votes

On the survey we also had an “other” category that one could check off. This category had 24 votes with ice cream flavors such as:

Caramel Swirl with Fudge, Dulce de leche, Chocolate Mandarin Sherbet, Cotton Candy, Mint Chocolate Chip, Coffee, “Moosetrack”, Mint Chip, “nothing”, Coconut, “Phish Food”, pistachio, Cold Stone Creamery’s “German-chokolatekake®”, Jamaca Almond Fudge, French Vanilla, Almond Mocha, “Blue Moon”, and Cookies ‘n Cream.

Stay tuned for Ice Cream Trivia including early recipes and for more fun survey results!
